RESIDENT EVIL ALL SERIES


 

The Resident Evil series has been undoubtedly one of the most renowned franchises in gaming history, comprising various games, movies, and comics. The series made its debut in 1996 with the release of the first game, which swept the world by storm. The Resident Evil series features a broad array of games, each with its unique storyline, characters, and gameplay mechanics, and in this article, we will be taking a closer look at all of them: 


Resident Evil (1996) The first installment of resident evil (RE) introduced players to the world of survival horror, where they explore a mansion infested with zombies and other deadly creatures as Chris Redfield, a member of the elite Special Tactics and Rescue Service (STARS). Players must explore the mansion, solve puzzles, reveal mysteries, and fight for survival. This game established what would become the staple of the franchise: tense atmosphere, paranormal elements, and puzzles.


 

Resident Evil 2 (1998) Set two months after the events of the original game, Resident Evil 2 features two new protagonists, Leon S. Kennedy, and Claire Redfield, as they try to navigate through a zombie-infested Raccoon City. The game refined many aspects of the first game, featuring enhanced graphics, new creatures, and more advanced puzzles.


 

Resident Evil 3: Nemesis (1999) Setically concurrent with Resident Evil 2, Jill Valentine, a survivor of the first game, tries to escape Raccoon City, which has been destroyed by a T-virus outbreak. The game features a more aggressive zombie known as Nemesis, who relentlessly pursues the player throughout the game.

 


Resident Evil Code: Veronica (2000) Developed for Dreamcast, Code: Veronica features Claire Redfield, who is captured and imprisoned on a remote island controlled by the Umbrella Corporation. The game features an enhanced graphics engine and introduced new gameplay mechanics, such as item combining.


 

Resident Evil Zero (2002) Zero takes place before the events of the first game and explores the origins of the T-virus outbreak. The game features a new protagonist, Rebecca Chambers, and introduces a new partner mechanic that allows players to switch between two protagonists.

 


Resident Evil 4 (2005) RE4 changed the traditional gameplay of the series by implementing a third-person over-the-shoulder perspective and adding more action-oriented gameplay elements. Set in a rural Spanish village, the game follows Leon S. Kennedy as he tries to rescue the President's daughter from a cult.


 

Resident Evil 5 (2009) The game is set in Kijuju, Africa, where Chris Redfield and Sheva Alomar investigate a bioterrorism incident. RE5 introduced an online cooperative multiplayer mode and more action-oriented gameplay elements.


 

Resident Evil 6 (2012) The game features three interconnected campaigns, with each campaign having its own unique protagonist and storyline. Set two years after RE5, the game explores a global bioterrorism attack orchestrated by the Umbrella Corporation.


 

Resident Evil 7: Biohazard (2017) The game returned to the series' survival-horror roots, with players taking on the role of Ethan Winters, who explores a dilapidated plantation mansion in Louisiana, where he encounters the deranged Baker family.


 

Resident Evil 2 (2019) A full remake of the 1998 classic features a modernized gameplay, enhanced graphics, and updated storylines.


 

Resident Evil 3 (2020) another full remake of the original Resident Evil 3, follows Jill Valentine as she tries to escape a zombie-infested Raccoon City amidst a biohazard outbreak.


 Resident Evil 4 (2023) The latest installment of the Resident Evil series. a remake of the Resident Evil 4 with some new features. in the original, the protagonist Leon can use his knife unlimited, but in the remake version the knife can be damaged and it can be fixed at the merchant.
