The Outlast Trials!

 

 Red Barrels created and released The Outlast Trials, a cooperative first-person psychological survival horror game. As a precursor to the prior two games, it is the third entry in the Outlast series. Although a single-player option is also offered, the game debuts with a cross-platform online cooperative mode that supports up to four players. The Outlast Trials finally debuted in early access on May 18, 2023, for Microsoft Windows users through Steam and the Epic Games Store. The console versions and cross-platform features were scheduled to be released at the same time as the game's full release.

 PLOT

Players assume the roles of test subjects known as Reagents who have been kidnapped by the Murkoff Corporation in the game, which is set in the same universe as other Outlast-related games and takes place in 1959 during the height of the Cold War. Players will be put through a series of physical and mental ordeals, tortured by iconic characters, and challenged alone or in teams to survive with their sanity intact while imprisoned in a secret Murkoff facility made up of a dozen warehouses connected by underground tunnels. Murkoff has built scaled-up representations of real-world surroundings inside the warehouses. Reagents return to the Sleep Room in between experiments, where Murkoff takes good care of them. To collect the products, agents can communicate with Murkoff workers.
